HISTORY
It is thought the original owners who built the property in 1694 were William and Isabel Hird, who were Yeoman farmers. Subsequently in the 1800s the property became a brewery, run by the Briggs family - hence the initials over the entrance door to the library. When the current owners bought the property, it was divided into two dwellings. This could easily be achieved again to provide separate accommodation for the extended family. The owners have lived in this happily for many years and are now ready to hand over to the next custodian.


DIRECTIONS
From Queensbury village crossroads, take the A644 Brighouse Road towards Denholme and after approx 1/4 mile take a right turn into Thornton Road. Proceed along this road until the next junction with the Junction pub straight ahead. To the right of the pub is a small track, which is Brewery Lane - take this road and the property is on the left after approx 100 yards.
