Property description
When you walk in through the front door for the first time, you will be impressed by the fantastic open plan dining area. The staircase is a real feature and there is plenty of space for a large dining room table and chairs, making entertaining a breeze. So whether you are having Sunday dinner or an evening with friends, this is one area that will get used a lot.
The lounge has an open fireplace with a log burner, which will be perfect for when the evenings are a little bit chilly, but not cold enough to turn on the central heating.
There shouldn’t be any queues for the bathroom as there is also an en-suite shower room to bedroom 1. So in the mornings you can simply roll out of bed and into the shower. If you want to soak away the stresses at the end of the day, I would recommend heading for the roll edge Victorian style bath.
Bedroom 3 is a lovely room as it has excellent views across to the rolling countryside and has the added benefit of a large walk-in wardrobe.
The front and back gardens are a great size and if you enjoy barbeques at the end of the day, then you will want to head to the back garden as this is when it catches the sun. Storage will not be an issue as there is a large shed, log and coal storage area and a garden store, plus an understairs storage cupboard inside.
What the Owner says:
We have lived in our lovely home for over 10 years. In that time we have replaced the double glazed windows and put in a log burner, both of which are in keeping with our period style property.
We are in the ideal position, close to Tayne Field and all the village amenities, including tea room, post office, shops, library, restaurant and pub.
Lyminge and the surrounding area is such a great place to live; we enjoy country living, but are close enough to the nearby towns and have easy access to London. Ashford International train station is approximately 13 miles away and there is a regular bus service to Canterbury, Folkestone and Hythe.
