Property description

If your dream is to have an open fire, a classic country kitchen and large secluded gardens, then this mock Tudor character home is the one for you. This is one of those homes that gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling inside when you walk around.

When I first saw this house it was on a cold, frosty morning. The owners welcomed me into their lounge, with the logs were crackling away on the open fire. I could just imagine sitting here reading the paper with a nice cup of coffee.

During the renovation of this property the owners retained many original features and have sympathetically enhanced it with today’s modern comforts. The heart of this home is the large open plan kitchen / diner; this would be a great space for entertaining because while you prepare dinner, friends can sit around the table with a glass of wine. In the corner of this room there is an open fireplace, which is just calling out to have a log burner installed to finish this room off perfectly.

The large secluded gardens will be the ideal place for your children to play hide and seek or even football. The current owners’ children used to have karaoke parties in the garden without annoying any of the neighbours.

The village pub is a 5 minute walk away which serves great food and if you have dogs then you are going to love the surrounding countryside.

What the Owner says:

Many years ago when I was still at school, the bus used to go past this house and I always said to myself that I would love to live there. Then one afternoon I received a call to say that it had come onto the market and the excitement inside me just boiled over. We immediately booked a viewing and although it needed an awful lot of work, we had a vision of what we could do and how we could turn this into what is now our lovely home.

Since being here we have fitted new windows, new shower room, re-plastered the ceilings, fitted the kitchen and installed a log burner in the Inglenook fireplace, giving our home that lovely cottage feeling. We look forward to welcoming you into what could be your new home.
