Property description
This is a real life-style property. The main property was built circa 1750 and is set within grounds measured at 3.758 acres. 3 bedrooms, beams, log burner, multi-fuel rayburn and a large conservatory with opening skylights and doors to the garden.
Countryside living yet close to routes to Canterbury and Whitstable, so those seeking the High Speed rail link from Canterbury to London can easily be accommodated here.
Horse lovers will delight at a 3 bay stable block plus barn and tack room, with neat yard and wooden fenced paddock. Live the ‘good life’, with chicken run and DEFRA licence for the keeping of livestock and a large vegetable patch. Add to this a separate detached 1-bedroom annex with ground floor kitchen, shower room and living room and 1st floor bedroom.
Next is a 4 car garage, workshop, sheds and outbuildings, including power, telephone and internet. The woodland area forming part of the grounds has a Yurt and separate Eco WC, both of which have been used for ‘glamping’. A 5-bar gate secures a driveway approach and parking for numerous cars.
There are so many potential options with this property and grounds that could, subject to appropriate planning permissions being in place, lead to numerous living and business opportunities and it is unusual to find such a wide scope within a single plot.
What the Owner says:
We have loved living here. We have countryside living yet are convenient for nearby road links to Canterbury and Whitstable. Our DEFRA licence meant we can have livestock as well as chickens and the large vegetable patch has been great for growing our own vegetables. The 1-bedroom annex can suit many situations and would be a great holiday let, subject to planning permission. Hubby builds and repair motorbikes and the garage and workshop would also be great for car lovers and restorers. Friends and family will love the Yurt and the ‘glamping’ opportunities it provides in our own woodland. The grounds are just too big for us now so it is time to move on, but the ponies will be coming with us!
