There is also a self-contained chalet within the grounds that has been used as a successful holiday let. Harperfield Lodge is a traditional stone built cottage under a Welsh slate roof. The accommodation comprises lounge, dining room, fitted kitchen and adjoining breakfast room. The dining room is the undisputed heart of the home boasting an open log fire and is a great place to entertain and relax. There is also a useful pantry/ utility room. There is a double bedroom with fitted storage and a three piece bathroom comprising wash hand basin, WC and bath with shower. The chalet comprises bedroom/ sitting room, shower room and well equipped kitchen. Both of the properties are served by mains water, mains electricity, drainage is by private septic tank. LPG heating warms the lodge and the chalet is electrically heated.

The formal gardens run to the Douglas Water to the front of the house and a fenced wooded area lies to the rear of the house. A single garage lies to the east. Harperfield Lodge has its own stretch of water and fishing rights for Brown Trout and Grayling on The Douglas Water.

Located on the outskirts of Lanark, amenities in the area include bus and train links, sports facilities, shopping, schooling and recreation. The M74 and M8 provide travel links throughout west and central Scotland including Glasgow and Edinburgh. EER BAND E
