Property description
This property has unfortunately not been trading as a public house since the start of 2013 and comes to the market with no onward chain.
Once two cottages, then converted into one detached house, then converted into a Public House and then extended to the side. The property has seen much change over it’s many years and the next stage in it’s colourful life could be up to you! So if you’re a buyer with a flare for refurbishment and a bit of imagination please call us now to book your appointment to view.
The bar area of the pub forms part of the ground floor only and is prime for conversion back into residential usage, subject to the normal legal and planning regulations, and could give you a large third reception room or scope for a fantastic entrance hall. There are three bedrooms on the first floor which are all large doubles and a large shower room and landing which could provide a nice study area for the family computer etc….
Please note that the property is being sold unconditionally and not subject to any change of use or planning consents.
The location couldn’t be any more idyllic, just along a beautiful country lane, and yet just a few minute’s drive to the A264.
Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances.

Our brother in law chose the name of the pub, he used to watch a television programme many years ago, it was based in London and the characters often all ended up in the pub which was called this property. He thought it was a great name for a pub and always said that if he ever owned a pub that’s what he would call it ….. And so he did, and that was over 30 years ago now! It was always a friendly and happy pub, where the locals were more like family. They often used to have music evenings where the customers used to bring their own instruments, you can imagine the mayhem, and the laughs we used to have …….
