I moved to Westbere back in 1967, I wanted to get away from London and suburban commuting. I was looking for a quieter, safer pace of life where I could bring a family up but still had easy access to be able to get to work. Westbere was perfect on all counts. As soon as we got to the front door we knew without going inside, this was the home with us. A beautiful quaint village with no through traffic and to cap it all off, fantastic stunning views of the lakes and countryside from the kitchen and the lounge windows. Since being here I have added a ground floor extension which has given me a kitchen/diner and a WC downstairs and leaving the rest of the accommodation upstairs, providing me with more bedroom spaces.
