“This house has been a wonderful family home for many years and we will be sorry to leave it. However, circumstances have changed and we feel it is time to downsize. At the same time we really think this could be the ultimate inter-generational property – particularly in today’s world where more and more children are staying at home for longer because it is difficult for them to raise a deposit for a place of their own. For instance, you could have your son or daughter and their partner living on the top floor with their children, while elderly relations were in the large annex. However, because there is a lift that goes to all floors, it would be equally possible to have grandparents living upstairs as you wouldn’t have to worry about their being able to use the stairs as time went on.
Conversely, it could be turned into a guest house, a bed and breakfast or even a children’s home with the owners/managers living in the annex and all the main rooms available for the kids.
