Property description
Remember that childhood drawing of a house? Door in the middle, chocolate box symmetry, well this is that picture perfect image in reality. Kerb appeal in swathes, this superb period family house can only be adored.
As you approach you are greeted by a beautiful stripped wood front door with stunning glazing. The moment you step inside you know you are in for a treat with the dark rich wooden floor that seamlessly runs through the house and modern colour palette.
You can really zone this house to make the very best use of it to suit your own family needs as the two formal reception rooms are currently used as a formal living room and the other a chilled out family room.
But it’s at the rear that the house genuinely comes into its own. The large, well fitted kitchen oozes quality, and has plenty of space to cook up fabulous family meals or raucous dinner parties alike. It leads into a spacious dining area with French doors leading to the garden. The owners use this fantastic space the most and find it supremely social.
Upstairs doesn’t disappoint either. The three double bedrooms have a sumptuous stylish feel with a modern French style. The main bedroom is cosy, and then you open up into Narnia, with a heavenly walk in wardrobe of epic proportions, any self-respecting fashionistas dream.
What the Owner says:
We knew this was the house for us even before we came inside. We absolutely adored it from the outside, the cul-de-sac, the beautiful variety of houses and the location. For us it was just perfect. Even now, all these years on, we still love the house. We have brought up our three children here, and over the years have used all three living areas differently. Sometimes the family room has been used as an extra bedroom.
We found the area really brilliant, you can get around really easily. The children’s schools were always easy to get to. Shopping is a breeze, you can get into both Sutton and Croydon town centres with great ease. And back when we had pets, you can’t beat Beddington Park for dog walking and Sunday strolls.
