CURRENT MASTERPLAN:

HISTORY Called Millers Farm after John Miller whose family farmed here in the 1830's.
The South Barn was built circa 1720 as confirmed by Norfolk's Historic Buildings Officer.
The Barn forms the centrepiece of Millers Farm, and flanks the original 16th century Medieval Hall House.
Millers Farm is one of five farms that display a Saxon layout and field system along an historic lane with the oldest buildings being on a north south axis.
The Barn is constructed of beach cobble flint and pantile roofs with internal reed and plaster ceilings.
Last used as a dairy farm in 1950's, the South Barn was latterly used for live and dead stock.

THE APPROACH Currently accessed off a quiet country lane. The new proposed dedicated access will sweep around the eastern boundary of the barn, see Masterplan SK 024A.

DIRECTIONS Leave Norwich on the B1150 to North Walsham, turn left at the first set of traffic lights to follow signs to Mundesley B1145. At the end of the village of Swafield go straight ahead to Trunch. Turn right onto Back Street then left onto Mundesley Road. Millers Farm is the last property on the left as you leave the village.
