Government Help to Buy available
The government Help to Buy scheme is available to both first time buyers and home movers on new build homes in England, with a purchase price of up to £600, 000.
The purchaser will need to contribute at least 5% of the property price as a deposit and the government will give you a loan of up to 20% of the property price, to make up a full 25% deposit. To cover the rest of the property price, the purchaser will then need a mortgage of up to 75%.
For the first 5 years of owning the property the purchaser will not be charged any loan fees. In the sixth year the loan fee of 1.75% will be applied. That fee will then increase each year.
