When we originally bought the house it had been converted into 3 flats. We wanted a good size family home so we converted most of the accommodation back to suit our needs. Keeping the lower ground floor flat as a separate entity to let out has always worked very well and we do currently have a good tenant who would be happy to stay.

We have often entertained as we are fortunate enough to have more than enough space. We love spending time in the garden as it gets plenty of sun. We even put in a shady decking area for when the sun gets too much.

We are only moving now as we would like to downsize.
