Property description
When you approach this pretty little village, that is steeped in history, you know you're in for a real treat.
This gorgeous cottage will not fail to delight with its wealth of exposed beams and medieval character. The generous but cosy lounge will provide the perfect backdrop for family life; the huge inglenook fireplace has a way of drawing you in, making you want to curl up on the sofa with a good book, or a loved one.
Just to add to the package, you have a delightful kitchen with 'butler sink', breakfast/study room, and open plan dining area . You can just imagine letting your culinary skills go wild, finishing it off with a homemade apple pie.
The upstairs is just as impressive; the surprisingly spacious bedroom on the first floor has a walk in dorma extension, which could be used as a dressing room or even a study if you feel you can't possibly leave this house and need to work from home. Bedroom 2 will also amaze, with its exposed original crown post and space for both sleeping and playing alike.
If you feel you have over-indulged, at the end of the terraced garden there is a gate providing access to walks across the playing field, perfect if you have a dog that needs to stretch its legs, or for the kids to run off some energy.
To appreciate this home, you really need to see it for yourself!
What the Owner says:
This cottage holds many memories for us, as it has been in our family for many years. Having been two cottages knocked into one, we are so spoilt for space and storage - hard to find in many modern homes these days, let alone a medieval cottage!
We have loved living in the village and are lucky to have fantastic neighbours.
We love the terrace garden which provides great access to playing fields and allotments. We will sorely miss the spectacular views when walking the dog as well!
