We also understand from the family that the pool complex has been put to good use by friends and family, it provides all year round usage and there is also the gym with a galleried area over accessed via a spiral staircase. Also within this area is a shower room, changing room, sauna and a conservatory area from where to sit and relax in the hot tub.

We recall that we had viewed several homes but just couldn’t find the right one, so we decided that should we be able find a property with potential to develop the site we would favour building our own home.

We found that ideal plot in Stapleford Abbotts, the area appealed to us due to its semi-rural atmosphere, the plot was occupied by a small cottage with farmland views to the rear. The build was completed during 1995 and we were very particular about its design and finish,
we wanted something special about it and we feel we have achieved this with its wealth of character and charm and mock Tudor design.

The kitchen/breakfast area is the centre of a busy household where we cook, eat and relax around the table, one of the many joys of the house is space, we can all be together or find room for individual time. You can work from home in the study, watch that favourite television programme in the cosy snug/television room, which features another fireplace and cast iron burner.

The sitting room is the ideal space for entertaining friends and family, whilst to the outside we have an extensive sun terrace for outdoor entertaining or simply a space to sit and relax with a glass of wine after a busy working day.

Building this home was very time consuming and hard work, but we enjoyed the process and have been extremely pleased with the outcome. We hope the next owners will enjoy the home as much as we have.
