Property description
Are you looking to move your family out to the country but yet retaining close-by transport links back to larger towns? Then this property could be just the one for you. Located in the heart of the popular village with a highly regarded school on your doorstep, this modern family home offers a fantastic base to explore the countryside.
You will be immediately taken by the light and airy space that the house has to offer, with a good size, open plan lounge and dining areas, benefiting from sliding doors, opening to the rear garden. This is great for entertaining friends and family, whilst the meal is being cooked in the separate kitchen, everyone can socialise together before settling around the table.
There is plenty of space for children to run around in the garden and for adults to enjoy alfresco dining or a coffee on the patio.
South Chailey is nestled between the commuter town of Haywards Heath and the historic county town of Lewes, both of which have mainline train stations, along with the local villages of Plumpton Green and Cooksbridge, offering direct links to London. There are a number of countryside walks available close by, especially around Chailey Common and why not treat yourself in one of the accommodating country public houses afterwards for refreshments.
What the Owner says:
Having moved into the village from South London nearly 10 years ago, we have found there is a great community feel to the village, with many clubs and social events. Our children have enjoyed attending the fantastic local senior school and being within safe walking distance to the school has been really handy.
We are within close proximity to many of the larger towns such as Brighton, Lewes and Haywards Heath, which has been a huge benefit for work or a spot of shopping, but it's nice to come home at the end of the day to this peaceful location. My job shall be taking me away from this area but we are sure the new owners will enjoy this house and its surroundings as much as we have.
