Property description
As I was chatting with the owners, a beautiful pheasant flew through the rear garden, which sums up the rural feel of Shorwell and this home. This house is nestled towards the end of a lovely quiet cul-de-sac making it the perfect family retreat. Kick off your boots and hang your coats up in the large entrance hall after you have had the pooch out for a long country walk. After your walk your appetite will lead you to the kitchen which has been upgraded within the last few years. You can then put the kettle on, cook up a storm and gather round the table for a family meal in the good sized dining room. Nip to the ground floor shower room if nature calls, which is also handy for when family and friends visit. When the evening draws in adjourn to the main lounge for an evening of your favourite television programmes – there is plenty of room for everyone to fit in. Time for bed? Well you have a choice of three double bedrooms and a single bedroom to retire to, so no arguing about who has the biggest bedroom. Feel like a freshen up before going to bed? Take your pick - either luxuriate in a hot bath upstairs or jump in a refreshing shower downstairs. This home has got plenty of parking, integrated garage and a lovely private rear garden which has been extremely well looked after. It was landscaped a few years ago, with only the neighbouring ponies at the stables further beyond you for company. If you fancy a tipple, pop to the Crown public house to quench your thirst and the village has a little post office for groceries and papers.
What the Owner says:
We bought this home 18 years ago because everything fitted into place perfectly and it was our dream home. Moving from the mainland was a big move but the location was absolutely stunning and peaceful, we knew it was the right move.
The biggest points we will miss about the house is the size and how spacious it is, the light and airy feel about the home along with the views and how rural it is. It truly has been a lovely home to spend this amount of years in. We shall miss it deeply.
