Property description
This property has grown tastefully during its history and time but blends together brilliantly to offer a good sized home which still offers a great deal of charm. The property itself delivers four bedrooms; a family bathroom, and delightful open aspect lounge area, separate dining room, well laid out and designed kitchen/breakfast room, downstairs wet room and sunny conservatory.
The gardens and grounds that surround it screen you beautifully from the world outside and provide an environment that invites many wonderful varieties of wildlife to pay you regular visits and forms a very natural arena. It has open and hidden spaces within some of its wooded areas that create a delightfully tranquil and relaxing space to enjoy. It also has a sizeable outbuilding that currently forms a large aviary but could maybe be adapted for a variety of needs and sits within a beautiful corner of the grounds. Additionally, to the already mentioned outdoor areas, you are also supplied with driveway parking and detached garage.
This cosy but by no means small home, is situated on the edge of an area that links two very prominent south-east coastal towns. Being close to these two towns’ means the beach is not too far away, as well all the towns’ conveniences and services. The train stations also provide quick connections to the high speed mainland links and beyond.
This is a home that provides a lovely haven to live within in a corner of the Island that provides excellently for nearly all of your family’s needs. This home is a welcome invitation to Island living and has served the current owners beautifully for 25 years and we are confident it will do the same again for the next generation of owners.
What the Owner says:
When we moved here 25 years ago we left behind a neatly manicured garden. It looked lovely but we could never relax or unwind in it because as soon as you sat down, you noticed something needed to be nipped, tucked or pruned.
This garden is different. It’s a managed, low-maintenance, wildlife-friendly garden.
We spend most of our time enjoying the peace and tranquillity, of what our grandchildren call ‘Nanny & Grandad’s Forest’ – they love it.
It’s not a forest by any means but it sort of sums up how interesting it is.
