It is great to get out onto the Downs. You can walk for miles; it really is like living in the country, with the benefit of having all your daily needs on your doorstep.
If you head in the other direct you can stroll along the under cliff walk into Rottingdean within minutes. You can also jump on the bus and head into Brighton for a mooch around the shops.
