Property description
Rowlands Castle is a traditional Hampshire village with a green, choice of friendly pubs, local shops, post office, doctors surgery, pharmacy, tea shop, golf club and recreation ground. The village hosts its own May Day fair, Summer fete and Bonfire night. A mainline station connects it to London Waterloo and other destinations all only 15 minutes walk away.
Hazeldean Court is an elegant Edwardian house and this stunning ground floor apartment is one of three apartments converted in 1993 situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. The approach is via sweeping drive to the rear where there is private parking. The apartment is extremely spacious, its principal feature being the large, bright lounge/dining room with dual aspect bays, period features and high ceilings. Once the original drawing room to the main house, it portrays the elegance of bygone days. This room also offers the potential for a second bedroom. There is access to the terrace and well kept communal grounds from the lounge. The bedroom has plenty of storage space and room for a study area. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a unique property.
For outdoor enthusiasts, miles of country walks and cycle paths wind their way through Southdowns National Park, Stansted House and Staunton Country Park. The ASM, 5 minutes drive away gives you access to London via the Hindhead Tunnel.
What the Owner says:
I fell in love with my apartment as soon as I viewed it even though it was full of furniture & clutter but I could see how lovely and unique it could be. It is so quiet and peaceful here, being in a cul-de-sac and well away from the main road. The joint freeholders are great and the building has a friendly feel about it. With the two other apartment holders, we are all equally keen to maintain the building and create a lovely home for us all. The setting is beautiful and the unusual character of the building and its feature is a joy. The high ceilings and picture rails add to the lovely windows, to give real feeling of space. Since I have been here I have renewed the boiler and replaced the largest windows. I have really loved living here and hope that the next owners will love it here as much as I have.
