We had already fallen in love with historic Rochester, its stunning castle and river walks when we visited it during their Summer Dickens festival. People, fun and laughter filled the characteristic high street and we knew this was the place for us. So our search began.

The moment we approached the house and paused to take in the view of the river from the steps, we were hooked! Once inside we found the warm charm of the original features enveloped us even more and realised that this house just had to become our home.

This lead to many happy longs walks along the river and the surrounding countryside.
