Property description
An enthusiastic horse loving family will be delighted with this interesting property, nestling in the hamlet Ripple, surrounded by farmland and the countryside. With its 2.64 acres of fenced paddocks, an all-weather rubber surface 40m x 20m manege, a vast area of hard standing for vehicles such as caravans and horse boxes. There is a stable block and concrete yard, including three stables, tack room, feed store and workshop, this place is just waiting for an influx of new equine stars and their owners.
Currently divided to create two separate houses, literally ‘under one roof,’ as far as the title deeds are concerned. It is a property that would be ideal for anyone who is looking to provide flexible family accommodation. This could encompass a variety of situations such as siblings and their families with a common interest in horses looking to live near to each other, parents with adult children wanting a separate home or families with elderly relatives needing to live nearby, but retaining their independence. The house has been beautifully upgraded with one half of the house consisting of a family bathroom, two double bedrooms with lovely views over the paddocks, an open plan living room with access to a secluded garden and a well fitted kitchen. While the other half includes two bedrooms, family bathroom, a pleasant sitting room and study area as well as a fitted kitchen, an attractive front garden and wonderful views across acres of farmland.
Alternatively it would be simple to convert the property back into one large family home as the inter-connecting doorways can easily be accessed.
What the Owner says:
“We have very much enjoyed living in this dual family home and being near other family members, but not actually living together has been an ideal combination. Our children attend a lovely traditional country school in the next village - just a few minutes away. There is a great village community and we enjoy the carols outside our local pub at Christmas, while the children love the annual nativity play at our village church and bonfire night. Ripple village is near Deal, which has a variety of individual and high street shops – and even won ‘A Seaside High Street of the Year’ award this year! The surrounding countryside is perfect for dog walking, cycling and horse riding. Indeed we can step from our drive and onto a footpath and there is plenty of off road hacking available along a network of bridleways and beaches.
The house is in a quiet location and the land has proved perfect for the horses as well as a brilliant venue for family camping weekends and summer barbecues with friends and family. Being able to have the horses at home has proved ideal for our young children. They love the novelty of being able to look after their ponies and see them from the bedroom windows!”
