Property description
You do not have to be a Dr. Who fan to buy this property, although if you would like to own your own Tardis, this property is right up your street! With its significantly improved accommodation, over three floors, there is room for the whole family. The lounge is a great size for entertaining and for more formal occasions, or for gathering the family round over the evening meal to catch up on the day's events, there is a separate dining area. The large extended, re-fitted kitchen area is a real social hub of the home and the conservatory is perfect for relaxing with a coffee whilst admiring the wildlife across the garden to the countryside views at the rear. If it's warmer outside, take advantage of the two patios, one to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun and chase it round to the other, where you can relish in the rays late into the evening. There should be no queues in the morning rush with the family bathroom and ensuite shower room.
The property is a short stroll to the village centre with a good variety of local shops, together with the quintessential village green, where cricket is played during the summer months. Take advantage of the easy access to many walks across the South Downs or hop on the good local bus service, via Lewes, to Brighton. Lewes station is also where you can catch a direct train to London if a commute to work or a day out is required. Glyndebourne is just minutes away for a perfect outing to first rate opera.
What the Owner says:
As soon as I saw this property, I had to have it! Wanting to live in a thriving, friendly village and join in the many different clubs and social events, for all ages, that this community has to offer, everybody is made welcome. I could then come home and relax in this peaceful and secluded position. My grandchildren love staying here, playing in the garden and watching the birds and squirrels in the garden, or the sheep in the fields. Knowing the potential this house offered me, I was able to do a lot of development in recent years, by creating a large two storey extension to the side and converted the loft. I also added the conservatory to the rear.
