Property description
This attractive double fronted building has presence in the road and has a wealth of potential to offer. Handily tucked away yet within easy reach of Uckfield and its Station you’ll be able to see yourself spending sociable days accommodating guests comfortably as the layout has been extended with this in mind.
Wandering around the property you will be struck by the impressive entrance hall from which the other rooms flow, with a separate study and dining room in addition to the lounge and extended kitchen.
Upstairs each room is a generous size and you have a beautiful en-suite bathroom, so you can have a soak in the tub on a Sunday afternoon whilst during the more hectic week showers might be the time efficient option.
Perhaps one of the nicest things is the peace of mind you get as it’s a quiet no through road, that you can wander down to the Victoria Playing fields just at the end of your road which is handy for dog walks towards woodland, riding bikes and sports.
With new carpets and double glazing installed last year, (an eye watering 19 in fact) the property has been transformed and instantly makes it reassuringly warm and quiet in equal measures. In the evening it’s nice to pop outside and flick the lights on which discreetly illuminate the rear patio and walled garden and sit out with a drink and there’s a shed there for all those manly and womanly workshop type items that need to be stored as well.
What the Owner says:
It was a case of right time, right location when I first saw this, and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to buy it. The position close to town and the Station was perfect for a young family, since then it's been the ideal house for 17 years. Indeed, it's grown with my family and we extended the kitchen and part converted the garage.
We spend loads of time in the kitchen when friends and family come over and its nice to be able to open the doors and enjoy the sunny back garden and out onto the conservatory where it suits all age groups.
We have replaced all the double glazing which transformed the house overnight, but one of the best things is the closeness to nearby fields and woodland walks which was great for kids but now it's too big for us, so it's time to move on.
