When I went to see this apartment I was immeidately struck by the size of it and what a great condition it was in. The interior decoration is a real homage to Laura Ashley and she would no doubt be smiling in appreciation if she could see it.

Being on the ground floor you can open up the door from your lounge and take a seat on the patio, watching the world pass by. The lounge/diner will be great for entertaining guests when they come to visit and will give you a chance to show off your culinary expertise.

I visited the communal lounge where they were getting ready to host "Bingo Night" and took a look at the notice board that had masses of activities that you could dip in or out of. There was a sense of eternal holiday which made me think just how wonderful retirement could be if you lived in a place like this.

If it were not for the fact that I want to spend more time with my grandchildren in Wales, I would not think about moving from here. A two minute walk takes me to the seafront and a short walk in the other direction takes me to the shops and a bus stop where I can get to Westwood Cross, Birchington or anywhere else in Thanet. The social scene here is fabulous and I have made some good friends since moving in. I was really pleased to find an apartment on the ground floor so that I can still enjoy my own private outside space although there are of course beautiful communal gardens.
