We moved into this home from rented accommodation and it was our first home. We didn't have any children when we bought it and it was perfect for us. We could see the potential as it had a car port to the front. We looked outside in the garden and the fact that it overlooked woodland topped it off.
8 years and two children later and we have never felt squashed or tight for space as the extension to the front provided and extra room for when we needed it. Along with the extension we have also added cavity wall insulation and double glazing, and a few little bits like decorating and built in wardrobes. We just hope our next home is in as good a location as this one. There isn't really any through traffic as we are at the end of the road so it's quiet.
