Property description
This has got to be a dream come true! What an amazing Grade II Listed Georgian property situated in a sought after village location. It has delightful views over fields to the rear and dates back to the 1790s.
As soon as you enter the hallway, you will soon feel the lovely, warm and welcoming feel it has. Soak up the atmosphere of the character features, exposed beams and inglenook fireplace with its log burner in the sitting room. The larger lounge area/dining area is ideal for entertaining family and friends as it also leads out into the rear garden.
There is a downstairs bedroom with ensuite shower room, which would come in handy for as a guest room or to help a dependant relative.
Bedroom one is an amazing space, with lovely light and views over open countryside. It also has the added benefit of an ensuite bathroom and a balcony to really take advantage of those views.
Outside, there is a detached annexe, ideal for further guests or maybe a B 'n' B opportunity. It has a lounge area and kitchen area downstairs with a bedroom and ensuite bathroom on the first floor.
To the entrance of the property is a little Gatehouse which could be used as an office or studio, set away from the main house, you should be able to avoid any distraction.
What the Owner says:
There are many reasons why we have enjoyed living here so much. The community feel to the village and the convenience to the local shop to mention a couple. The village pub, The Roebuck, is soon to reopen and access to countryside walks is brilliant. We love the character of the property and have found it a wonderful family set up. It has been such as versatile space. The nearest primary school is in Laughton and the closest secondary school is in nearby Ringmer. Brighton College is approximately 30 minutes drive away and Lewes has a mainline train station with direct links to London and Brighton. We are now relocating due to a job opportunity and we shall certainly miss living here but know that the new owners will reap the rewards when they move in.
