The property at Carstairs Junction comprises
two sites, one on each side of Pettinain Road
in the southern part of the village. The site on
the west side of the road is smaller and
extends to 0.328 hectares (0.81 acres) or
thereby. The larger site situated on the east
side of Pettinain Road extends to 0.83
hectares (2.05 acres) or thereby. We have identified from South Lanarkshire
Council’s website that there are two previous
planning consents relating to the subjects.
Planning Application CL/08/0040 relates to
the westernmost site and relates to the
erection of 10 semi-detached dwellings with
consent being granted in August 2008.
Application CL/08/0041 relates to the easternmost site and the erection of 28 semi-detached dwellings with this consent having been granted in April 2009. Interested parties should make their own inquiries to SLC in regard to these consents.
