The town of Dunoon is situated on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll & Bute where it sits on the Firth of Clyde to the south of Holy Loch and to the west of Gourock. The site is situated in the village of Sandbank approximately four miles from Dunoon.

The site has been allocated as suitable for housing (H1001) in the adopted Argyll & Bute Local Development Plan of March 2015. All interested parties are encourage to make their own enquiries directly to Argyll & Bute Council.
