Our family has lived in this property since 1959. My father purchased the property from the National Coal Board in the early 1970’s. The house was great for a large family growing up. There were four children plus my parents. I remember always thinking that there was an enormous amount of space for us to play inside the house or outside in the garden. The house now needs modernisation and it would be a good project for someone with a growing family. I have to say that the community in Hersden is very friendly and supportive. The neighbours are lovely and my parents always enjoyed living here.
