Having been brought up in Castlemaine Avenue with my parents, I knew the houses very well and also knew that it was a lovely quiet place to live. I was looking to buy at the same time that the next door neighbours house came on to the market. It must have been fate, so I snapped it up. It was extremely dated, so needed lots of work, which was just what I wanted. Being in the building game I was happy to take on the challenge and had a vision of how I could transform it into a modernised home.
