Property description
Proudly positioned in front of Folkestone's Radnor Park, complete with a striking facade, inside and out this home will take your breath away.
Parking is an important attribute in these parts so you can rest easy knowing there is space for two vehicles on the front. On the way in, the recessed porch with original stained glass door and tiles is the first of many original features to present themselves. The period features continue throughout with high ceilings and skirting boards but none more impressive than the marble fire surround and fireplace in the lounge. Further highlighted by the light that cascades through the bay windows, this is easily the most relaxing room in the house. A spacious dining room which flows seamlessly into a conservatory and on to a large decked area in the rear garden provides versatile dining arrangements for large numbers. However, in the warmer months this deceptively large garden will be where you spend most of your time. Like the rest of the house the kitchen is a great size comfortably accommodating a dining table.
Five bedrooms provide the sleeping arrangements, the main bedroom benefiting from an en-suite bathroom and if, like the current owner, you don't require all these rooms you could always let them out to foreign students providing an extra income.
It is to be noted that the vendor of this property is a person connected with Ward & Partners as defined in the Estate Agents Act 1979.
What the Owner says:
I needed a home that was going to give me the space for my family and still allow me to entertain friends. The size of this house was perfect and its period features certainly added to its appeal. It needed a fair amount of renovating to bring it to my standard but I was able to see through that, replacing doors, windows, the wiring, the boiler, re-plastering, installing an en-suite and re-designing the garden. All the hard work was worth it and we have thoroughly enjoyed living here. I don't think I could have bought a house in a better location in terms of convenience. We are central to everything, the park is across the road and the station, with fast links to London, is a short stroll. Furthermore, you have the sports centre, The Leas, the town centre and the beach all within easy reach.
