Property description
We just love Endymion Road! It's mature and residential yet convenient to so much of Brixton's buzz. This fine four bedroom double fronted period gem supplies unbeatably generous rooms and a healthy smattering of original features. Your flair will bring the interior back to life - we're sure you're up to the challenge. Accommodation consists of four double bedrooms, three large reception rooms, kitchen, utility room, two shower rooms, bathroom and two wcs. You literally couldn't ask for more than this lively locale has to offer! Pubs, eateries, parks, school, clubs and shops are all within an easy stroll. The Victoria line tops it off nicely.
Regal railings fringe the neat front garden. An original door opens to your spacious entrance hall. You'll note original cornice work and a fab curving staircase. There are large reception rooms to the left and right. Both enjoy more period detail. A third reception sits rear with pretty French doors that lead to the patio garden. Your kitchen/diner is on the far side of the hall and offers further garden access and a handy wc. The utility room adjoins to the rear and there's a handy shower room beyond that. Head upward to the huge split level first landing. Three impressively proportioned double bedrooms, each with storage take the lion’s share of this level. There's a bathroom and shower room and the second wc on the lower return. Heading upward again to the second floor rewards your efforts with the fourth and final bedroom. It's a pleasant lofty space with two recessed storage points.
A 10 minute walk brings you to the buzz of central Brixton, with shops, market, lots of cafés and restaurants and the excellent Ritzy Cinema. Brixton Village covered market offers the most wonderful mix of world cuisine – you will sample the best of everything from Vietnamese to Columbian. Brixton tube will whizz you up to Victoria in eight minutes and there are numerous bus routes that stream along the end of the road to both the City and West End. Corpus Christi and Sudbourne Schools are each well considered and within easy reach. The Regent, The Florence, The Commercial and Mango Landin' will keep you socialising whatever the weather. The White Horse is your local and really rocks out on the weekend. We personally recommend their chicken and camembert burger. Fujiyama is great for some tasty treats as is the Lido Café (be sure to have a swim first though)!
For open spaces you cannot beat Brockwell Park with its vast expanse of greenery. This is 0.3 miles away and is easily accessed via a pedestrian through-road at the end of Endymion Road. The Lido and gym have recently been renovated and are wonderful places to relax in the summer. You can grab a bit of culture at the stately Dulwich Picture Gallery. Dulwich Park is also wonderful whatever the season.
