When we first stepped through the door some years ago we fell in love with the cottage charm. The entrance was very welcoming and even though it needed a huge amount of work back then it felt homely to us. We liked the fact that there were fireplaces in the lounge and dining areas, one of which is open which is great for those colder evenings. We even restored the fireplace in the main bedroom. Since living here we have completely transformed it. We have redecorated every room, made the loft room a much more useable space, had the oak flooring installed on the ground floor and had the kitchen replaced, which was our biggest expense as we wanted it to be perfect. We also had our roof overhauled and the chimney has just been re-built.
