Property description
Have you always dreamed of living in the town but the lack of parking has put you off? If so perhaps your dreams have just come true. This exceptional character property may just make the perfect house, being located just yards from the town centre but in a quiet cul-de-sac. After pulling up in your own parking space kick off your shoes in the porch and enjoy cosy nights in front of the roaring open fire in the lounge - certainly something to look forward to after a hard day at work.
If you enjoy entertaining then the separate dining room will be right up your street with room to catch up over a glass of wine at the table, basking in the warm glow of the log burner while the chef rustles up something special in the adjoining kitchen area.
If you have always wanted a home with character the stripped wooden floors in the lounge and dining room will certainly tick all your boxes.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms with a third off the second bedroom, which would be perfect as a nursery or study. For a well earned soak the bright and spacious bathroom offers just the environment for unwinding in style.
When the warmer weather arrives the patio garden is the perfect place for a glass of wine or barbecue. If you need something larger just stroll over to the park where you can let the children feed the ducks and enjoy a family picnic.
What the Owner says:
We bought this house 3 years ago and we were instantly smitten by the look of it as it has great kerb appeal and lots of character and period features. It is in a fantastic location being just minutes to the High Street and Meadowbank park and just a short walk to the train station. It is also in the conservation area and there is a real sense of community here, we have on occasions shut the road off and had street parties and barbecues.
Since living here we have installed a new bathroom, redecorated and redone the garden. Our family is growing so it's now time for us to move to a larger property. We would love to stay in the area if we can which really does say it all.
