Property description
This delightful detached, five bedroom family home overlooking Pegwell Bay in Cliffsend is a real treasure. First thing in the morning you can enjoy the sight of the Viking ship and the coastline from Ramsgate across to Deal from your bedroom window or get up early and take the dog for a bracing walk along to the nearby nature reserve. Here you can look for rare and unusual seabirds or even try a little seal spotting and stop off on the way back at the delightful café near the ship for a well-earned cup of coffee. For golfing enthusiasts you are just a mile from the St Augustine’s Golf Club and the Stonelees Golf Centre.
With inset glass double doors from the welcoming hall to the light and airy sitting room and on through to the dining area and access to the easily maintained rear garden and terrace, it is an ideal home for entertaining whether you want a drinks party or a dinner with friends. In the summer guests can spill out into the garden or partake of al fresco meals, while the family can enjoy the unusually designed breakfast room and well fitted kitchen. This includes a range of integral appliances including a new double oven, hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher and is just ready for a new owner to illustrate their culinary talents. Alternatively, you can curl up with a book in the cosy snug that could also be used as an office for anyone working from home, while upstairs there is a choice of two en suite double bedrooms and three additional bedrooms as well as a plethora of storage cupboards throughout the house.
What the Owner says:
“When we first drove up to the house some 15 years ago, we were bowled over by the sight and sound of the impressive rough waves and white foam off the coast and immediately decided that this brand new house would be our new home. Since that time we have always loved the view of the ever changing sea and at night seeing the Viking ship lit up in the summer, the full moon reflected on the water and listening to the waves rippling on the sand, has provided a soothing backdrop that always lulled us to sleep.
The house is in a wonderful position with a bus stop virtually outside the door if you want to go to Deal and Sandwich or Ramsgate, Minster and Canterbury. There is so much to do whether you want to go shopping in nearby Westwood Cross or take a trip to the medieval Cinque Port town of Sandwich.
Our family have always enjoyed visiting us as there is plenty of room for everyone and the facilities are such that you never have to queue for the bathroom! They all enjoy the nearby beach and parks and the area is full of excellent restaurants, theatres, cinemas and pubs and there are miles of tracks and coastline, where you can walk and cycle.”
