Property description

THE PROPERTY The kitchen/sitting room is rich in character with a delightful bay window to the front overlooking the front garden. An exposed Cotswold stone open fireplace creates a lovely focal point in the room. This room is open in plan, with solid oak flooring laid through to the kitchen area. Featured here are a range of Shaker style base units featuring a solid oak work top integrating a fridge, oven and gas hob. Character is continued throughout with a further Cotswold stone fireplace mirroring the previous.Further to the ground floor is a study/dining room with a quaint stained glass to the side.

The first floor features exposed floor boards throughout. Situated on this level are bedroom one and the family bathroom. Bedroom one offers two double sash windows to the front with window seats in addition to a built-in wardrobe. The family bathroom is of a good size, again with a sash window to front, downlighters and a matching white suite of bath with shower over, wash hand basin & low level WC.

Bedroom two is situated alone on the second floor. Converted from the attic space, characterful A-frame beams have been maintained and a built-in wardrobe creates useful storage space. With a dual aspect, this room boasts delightful views.

Outside, a south-facing courtyard lies to the front of the property with mature shrubs, gravelled and patio areas. A large stone built outbuilding is also situated here. It is currently utilised as a utility room with water, power and light.

A local centre for the arts with an annual arts festival, the town is well known for its fine restaurants and friendly local pubs as well as its famous football club Forest Green Rovers. Nestled in a wooded valley, the surrounding flat topped rolling hills offer boundless country walks. Local amenities include highly regarded private schools Beaudesert and Wycliffe College; good public sector schools and sought after girls and boys grammar schools.
