There are two old inns, a post office/store and a doctors surgery, an ancient gothic style church built in the 15th century, and a brand new primary school built in late 2010 for 125 children. The city of Exeter is about 9 miles away and the town of Crediton 5 miles with its shopping centre and schooling facilities.
