Tigh-Bàta - the Boathouse - is found over the Fairy Bridge in the magical Waternish area of North West Skye and is positioned on the edge of Loch Bay with beautiful views across the Loch to Dunvegan and Lewis and Harris.

In the dining area there is a lovely solid oak dining table with seating for 10 people on oak chairs with leather padded seats. (No numb bums when you realise you have been sat for hours watching the view!!) The table is positioned so that you have the most amazing view out across the ocean and Loch.
The lounge area has two large comfy sofas and matching chair, coffee table and wood burning stove, again positioned so you have views of the shore and the Loch, there is a 50inch flat screen TV (that would be the Husband!!), DVD/CD player and Sky TV (also the husband and of course the kids!)
In the kitchen is a modern Black Gloss with Solid Oak worktops, a fridge freezer, dishwasher and wonderful gas AGA Rangemaster Cooker, where you can cook breakfast lunch or dinner whilst chatting with your friends and family while still admiring the wonderful views. The breakfast bar area has seating for 2 people. There is a Sony iPod radio Dock.
Playroom
Playroom, this is a lovely sized room that can be used as another lounge room (for children away from the grown ups chattering!), it has a comfy sofa that matches the lounge. This room has views towards Trumpan and Halistra. It has a chest of draws, coffee table and TV with freeview
Utility Room
The utility room has a large walk in shower, W.C and run of units housing a wash hand basin, washing machine and tumble dryer. With wall units above. The central heating boiler is also housed in here; the boiler provides you with instant hot water as well as the heating when required.
Landing
The Landing, is a lovely bright area, having 2 sky lights, with a chaise longue type chair which makes a lovely quiet sitting area. Also here is a large cupboard with all spare bedding and towels.
Master bedroom with en-suite shower room
Master Bedroom, has a Super King bed with matching bedside tables and large wardrobe, chest of draws, flat screen TV with freeview and two comfy chairs to sit in whilst you unwind at the end of the day an watch the sea and sky on the balcony.
En-Suite Shower room has W.C wash basin and large walk in shower
Bedroom 2
Bedroom 2, has a kingsize bed, bedside tables, chest of draws and wardrobe, with views looking towards Ardmore and Trumpan

Bedroom 3, has a kingsize bed, bedside tables, chest of draws and wardrobe and also views looking towards Ardmore and Trumpan.
Bedroom 4
Bedroom 4, has two single beds and a chest of draws, and a sky light so you can lay and count the stars before drifting off to sleep.

Family Bathroom, has a shaped bath with shower over and screen, W.C. and wash hand basin.
Nearby attractions
The Waternish area offers something for everyone, from walks across the headlands and shores where you may spot seals, dolphins, porpoise, basking sharks, and Scotlands very own conservation triumph the - Sea Eagle. The wildlife on Skye is simply second to none!!
From the house you can walk to the Shilasdair Wool and Dye House Shop (www.theskyeshilasdairshop.co.uk), Halistra Pottery (www.halistra-pottery.co.uk) and Skyeskyns (www.skyeskyns.co.uk) where you can have tour around the sheepskin tannery.
About 1½ miles north from the house is the beautiful headland of Trumpan where you can view Whales and the outer Isles and will find the remains of Trumpan Chapel which was the setting of one of the most grisliest chapters in Scottish history.
Then 5 minutes in the car to Stein, where you can enjoy a drink and a meal in the Stein Inn (www.steininn.co.uk), the oldest inn on the Isle, or a meal in Loch Bay Seafood Restaurant (www.lochbay-seafood-restaurant.co.uk) also in Stein

Directions
Once on Skye travel along the A87 signposted Portree & Uig continue along here and through Broadford, continue along the A87 towards Portree, after about 38miles of being on Skye turn left onto the A850 signposted Dunvegan continue along here for approximately 15miles and turn right onto the B886 signposted Waternish, after about 4miles turn right onto Macleods Terrace(also signposted SkyeSkyns) continue along here to Halin, continue to Halistra continue along here and you will come to a turning on your left signposted Carnach and Shillisdair Wool, take this turning and follow the road all the way to the bottom and you will see the house at the very end on the shoreline.
