Property description

No wonder the word ‘retreat’ is in the address of this property, situated in a quiet gated development there are views to rear of Epping Forest and open fields to the front. The neighbouring development has an age restriction, which means that loud late night parties and children playing noisy ball games will not disturb your peace and quiet after a long day at work.

As well as the forest land there is a golf course, Chingford Station and Station Road, with its numerous bars, restaurants and boutiques are approximately a mile away. Bus routes are located at the end of the road and will take you into Chingford or to Buckhurst Hill in no time at all. For those that have children there are excellent schools nearby, including the renowned Bancrofts Independent School.

The home itself is great for entertaining, the lounge and dining areas are located to the rear with patio doors leading out to the rear garden which is ideal for summer barbecues. During the winter months the lounge area has a lovely feature fireplace, which creates a cosy area to snuggle up in with the family whilst watching a movie.

The rear garden is secluded and has a handy gate leading out to forest land and to the front there is plenty of off street parking.

A great family home in a fantastic secluded location that is easily accessible to all the modern amenities that a family could want.

What the Owner says:

We were first attracted to our home due to the location and upon viewing we were instantly impressed by the size of the accommodation, apart from the ground floor space all of the bedrooms are a good size and there is no ‘box’ room.

Since living here we have taken a fond interest into the history of the area and have collected photos of the fairground and tea rooms that used to be here and were once owner by Mr Riggs.

We have really enjoyed living here, both the house and the area have been perfect for us, it is secluded yet commuting into London for work or nights out is easy and convenient.
