“We originally bought the property about 13 years ago as a family home as we loved the size and location, overlooking the sea at Broadstairs. However, it was still being run as a hotel and we had one guest staying. As a result of looking after one guest we decided to continue the business and since then have built up a sizeable clientele with many people returning year after year – some of whom even specify which room they want. In fact, during Folk Week we have people who have been coming to the hotel for 30 years and the wonderful atmosphere makes us feel we are hosting a large house party.
Since we have been here we have refurbished the property and designed the décor of every en suite room individually to enhance the ambience and to give our guests a heart warming experience. We have always been keen to ensure that all our guests feel really welcome and we have got to the stage were we treat them all as friends.
To ensure everyone is comfortable both in the bedrooms and in the main reception rooms, we have always ensured that there are enough sofas and seats in both the bar/lounge and dining room so everyone can sit down or have a meal at the same time if they want to.
All the beds, linen, chairs, tables, china, cutlery and other fixtures and fittings will be included in the sale. There are also a number of forward bookings in the diary so anyone buying the property can literally move in and take over straight away.
