OUTSIDE To the side of the property there is a small parking area with additional storage to the rear. Opposite the property across the village road is more parking then below this is a good-sized, secluded lawned area with mature shrubs and bushes and magnificent views across the valley. The rear garden is accessed via the first floor, it is laid mainly to patio with raised borders and backs directly onto National Trust paddocks. 

BRANSCOMBE Within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and forming part of the Jurassic coast, this highly sought-after village straggles along pretty country roads that terminate at Branscombe Mouth – a wonderful shingle beach. A highly prosperous area that has over many centuries thrived in enterprises from manufacturing flints for rifles, cooking limestone for fertiliser to fishing that was, as with all coastal villages the traditional industry. Perhaps more surprisingly is that Branscombe became a source of fine handmade lace and for those in the know – Branscombe Point is a style still practiced worldwide by lace makers. Thought to have been a habitation as far back as 2000 BC, the original name of the parish 'Brancwn' is most probably Celtic made up from Bran, the tribal or personal name and Cwn meaning a steep sided hollow or valley. Branscombe still today retains its age old charm with many period and characterful properties sprawled through the picturesque valley. There are three pubs, a beautiful village church, and stunning rural walks. The village has a very good primary school and is in the catchment for Colyton Grammar School too.
