Property description

THE PROPERTY The accommodation is approached through a solid wood door to the front, leading to the hallway. From here, all main living areas and the courtyard garden can be accessed. The kitchen/breakfast room offers a homely atmosphere with an Aga in addition to a range of attractive wall and base units. Beneath the kitchen is a generously sized cellar with light and shelving. Further on this floor are a cloakroom, utility room with ample space for further appliances, plus an adjoining study. The sitting/dining room is generously proportioned with character features including Cotswold stone fireplaces, wood burning stove and exposed beams. Additionally, to the side of the property is a delightful sun room which in turn opens onto the patio and garden.

Located on the first floor are two double bedrooms, the family bathroom and shower/dressing room. Both bedrooms benefit from built-in wardrobes, whilst the second bedroom offers an en-suite WC – therefore making this an ideal guest bedroom. The family bathroom is fitted with a matching suite including shower over bath and the adjoining shower/dressing room boasts a contemporary walk-in double shower cubicle. A further two rooms are to be found on the second floor – a single bedroom plus a snug or possible fourth bedroom.

Outside, the property offers a large landscaped garden with a range of features including flat lawns, mature shrubs and trees, a pretty water feature, patio, flower borders & a paved courtyard. Access to the garden can be gained via a gate to the side. Off road parking for two cars is located to the front of the property along with a double garage. A particular feature is the home office which is located above the garage, serviced with power and light.

AMENITIES Bisley in Gloucestershire is set within an area of outstanding natural beauty and is situated on top of the Cotswold Hills about four miles to the east of Stroud. Bisley has a general stores/post office and two public houses and is a thriving community with numerous organisations and clubs. Bisley is close to Stroud which was a major industrial and trading location in the nineteenth century and so needed transport links and first had a canal network known as the Stroud Water

Navigation (now the Thames and Severn Canal) both of which are now being restored as a leisure facility. Stroud is home to two of the countries last remaining state grammar schools. The town's other secondary schools are Archway School, located in the Paganhill area and Thomas Keble School in Eastcombe.

DIRECTIONS Travelling along the A419 from Stroud towards Cirencester, turn left onto Toadsmoor Road and follow the signs to Bisley. As you approach the village, keep to the right at the fork in the road. Upon entering the village, turn right at the monument onto Calfway Lane (opposite the 'Stirrup Cup' public house). Priest House can be found a short way along the lane on the right hand side. Parking is located to the front of the property.
