Property description
Situated in the heart of Folkestone, quite frankly you couldn't have a better position for a home which comes with commercial useage. Although the restaurant is now closed, for many years this has been an Indian restaurant successfully serving the general public.
A new owner could quite easily continue to run a restaurant and live above or, on the investment side, split the residential accommodation and let it out and do the same with the restaurant too. Subject to planning consent you may even look to convert the restaurant into residential and come completely away from its commercial side.
In terms of living accommodation, the home comes with a natural divide with mirrored accommodation on either side and with a versatile nature to configure to suit your needs. Three bedrooms either side and reception rooms even present the option for different generations to live side by side with their own private space. This home really is a unique entity just waiting for someone to pick up the reigns and carry it forward in one of the most up and coming towns.
Infrastructure for this property is second to none with the high speed trains linking you to London in under an hour, Eurotunnel giving you access to Europe and the M20 motorway.
This is a must view property due to its unique nature.
What the Owner says:
We have spent the last 31 years living in our home which seems to have gone in a flash. We chose to live here because we wanted somewhere where we could run a business and live too. Nothing else quite matched up to this so it was an easy choice and the rest is history. Our home offers so much space but we can also see the potential to divide it into flats if that suits your requirements. Our roof garden used to be a little botanical bliss hidden in the heart of Folkestone. Sadly, this is no longer something we can maintain and it doesn't quite look as good as it could.
Our restaurant is now closed and we are finally ready to downsize due to retirement but hope the new owners will continue the legacy we have set up over the years.
