Property description

SUMMARY
An historic thatched large family house situated within the village of Moulton in a peaceful rural setting.

DESCRIPTION
Ty Uchaf is a beautifully presented thatched property dating back to the 15th Century. With an abundance of original medieval features Ty Uchaf is reputed to be one of the oldest inhabited residences in the Vale of Glamorgan. According to local Moulton Folklore Oliver Cromwell once stayed in the property during the Civil War. The property has been attentively and sumptuously refurbished whilst retaining and restoring the period character and now offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a large, well-appointed family house situated in the country within a village community. The accommodation is set out in a linear design, reminiscent of a Welsh longhouse, so that each of its principal rooms overlook the landscaped gardens and the countryside beyond. The mature gardens extend to about 1 acre. A further 11 acres are available by separate negotiation.
Moulton is a rural hamlet in the Vale of Glamorgan situated near the A4226, northwest of Barry and east of Llancarfan.
