Property description
Within just a few metres of Storrington's bustling village centre, this delightful property offers more than 2500 sq ft of space, set over two floors and stands within a good sized plot with detached double garage plus driveway parking for several cars.
The flexible accommodation is well suited to modern family life, with three reception rooms plus a stunning kitchen area which opens through to a garden room extension.
Exposed timbers are complimented by open fires and log burners and the property has a genuinely warm, inviting feel to it.
All five bedrooms are doubles, bedroom 1 being en-suite and the front rooms enjoy views over rooftops towards the gloriuos South Downs.
The level, landscaped rear garden offers plenty of space for children to play or for the adults to entertain in and there is a range of specialist shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants all within a few minutes walk.
Storrington First School is about a third of a mile away, with Rydon Community College and Steyning Grammer also both within easy reach.
What the Owner says:
I've lived in this wonderful home for the last twenty five years or so and it will be and it will be dearly missed when I move out.
There is so much historical interest here - part of the property dates back to medieval times. I understand that during the Second World War, the house was requisitioned by the Canadian Army as a hospital and later as a veterinary surgery for the village.
In recent times various improvements and upgrades have been made, including hand made replacement windows, a superb garden room and a bespoke kitchen with granite work surfaces. I've replaced the oak flooring and bathroom and I redecorated both inside and out in 2015.
