Property description
Unique, versatile, quirky and potential. These are all good words to help describe this period detached property, but for me fails to give it justice. Formerly two workers cottages for the nearby Glennifers Farm, the property has also been used in the past as a bed and breakfast. So whether you are looking for a large family home with annexe potential, or somewhere with ample space to work from home, then we strongly advise you to come and take a closer look.
Located on the Five Oaks Road both Billingshurst and Horsham are just a short drive away. Where you will find numerous shops and restaurants as well as the mainline railway station with links up to London for your commute up to work. And at the weekend when you have a little time to yourselves you may want to explore the local countryside along one of the many public footpaths that are nearby.
The owners have carried out some extensive works since buying the property some 8 years ago, including a new roof and new double glazing which should give buyers all the peace of mind you need when buying a property of this age.
There is also an outbuilding currently used as an office, with the en-suite shower room it was formerly used as part of the bed and breakfast business. Buyers may want to extend this building to create a detached one bedroom bungalow, subject to the usual planning consents.
What the Owner says:
When we first saw the property details, we were not particularly impressed with the agents photography, it really didn’t do the property any justice. But the floor plan did look promising so we decided to come and take a closer look.
With two households coming into one we wanted plenty of space for the family to be together, but also areas were we could spend some quiet time apart. So this cottage was absolutely perfect, the two living rooms work really well for us whilst the family room is the heart of the house, it’s a lovely bright room, where we often sit together to enjoy a cup of tea and the views over the garden.
