Property description
Situated within the desirable setting of High Beech, this detached residence enjoys a semi-rural environment with an open aspect to the rear overlooking fields and forest land beyond.
Undoubtedly a talking point of this property is the grounds, which incorporates two plots, the main plot which has a gated entrance and deep front before reaching the property. The second plot is immediately opposite, also with a matching gated entrance, this plot features the leisure complex with an indoor swimming pool.
The interior of the home is arranged over three floors. The sitting room and dining room are sizeable rooms, therefore making ideal spaces for entertaining, then there is the snug room to escape to, where you can read a book, listen to music or watch that favourite television programme.
The owners tells us that busy family life centers around the kitchen, where they get together for cooking, everyday eating and chatting about the days’ events, or simply to keep the cook of the household company.
The five bedrooms, two en-suites, family bathroom and ground floor shower room make easy work of coping with a large family, so there shouldn’t be too many arguments as to who uses the bathroom first thing in the morning when getting ready for the working/school day.
In addition to the owner’s comments as to the area at High Beech, you will also find three pubs and a Church of England primary school with a high reputation.
What the Owner says:
Discovering this lovely semi-rural setting certainly ticked all the boxes, so much so we had already made the decision to buy before even viewing. What impressed us the most about the property was the size of the plot, and the location provided the atmosphere of being tucked away from it all, yet Central London is very accessible.
Another feature of the home that impressed us was having the plot split into two. We have found ourselves using the secondary plot as the key entertaining space during the summer months. The pool has been put to good use, as its indoors and can be used for 12 months of the year, we have enjoyed many a barbecue with family and friends and we love the fact that we can entertain with the house being untouched.
Apart from general decorating during our time here we have refurbished all the bathrooms and created an en-suite to our son’s bedroom. We have installed under floor heating to all the tiled floor areas and we have also had solar panels fitted to both the house and the leisure complex.
We have thoroughly enjoyed living here, you get the best of both worlds, a semi-rural environment providing delightful walks, horse riding and mountain biking. There’s even a golf course in High Beech, making you feel as if you have escaped to the countryside for the weekend, yet we are only 2.0 miles from Loughton with its bustling High Road and tube link into London.
