Property description
Set back behind a large well established hedge is this lovely family home, situated in a quiet exclusive cul-de-sac in the pretty village of Headcorn. This imposing Berkeley Home is ideal for anyone requiring the convenience of a good selection of shops, schools (both public and private), and golf courses, with The Weald of Kent and it's newly opened gym, only a 3 minute car journey. The County town of Maidstone is also easily accessed. There are very good transport links to the M20 and the railway station which is less than a 5 minute walk, serves Ashford (Eurostar) and London in one hour. The house is spacious, well designed for a family and immaculately presented. In the lounge, the fire is very welcoming and warming, and there is a cosy TV room which is ideal for children, being accessed from the kitchen. The ample dining room and sizeable fully fitted kitchen could be made into one large impressive open plan kitchen/diner, (subject to planning), overlooking the garden. The handy utility room keeps the laundry equipment out of 'sight and sound' and provides internal access to the double garage. Upstairs the space continues, with the lovely bright landing, and five good sized bedrooms with ample wardrobes, including a master bedroom with en-suite, which has a bath and separate shower. The generous fifth bedroom is currently used as an office, to which it is very well suited. The garden with it's lawn and newly planted borders is ideal for children to play safely or for a family barbecue.
What the Owner says:
When we bought our home 16 years ago, we knew we were incredibly lucky. To find a large house in a quiet location, yet so close to everything we would need, was amazing. We love our regular trips to the coast, especially the ancient town of Rye, yet the station across the road means we can be in London in an hour. The local golf clubs are just a short drive, and there are plenty of shopping opportunities in the local towns, both of which are only a 20 minute drive away. It’s great being able to walk to the pub for a spot of home cooked lunch, and pick up a pint of milk and a paper on the way home – literally everything is on our doorstep. Now our priorities have changed, and family is taking us to the Cotswolds where we will start a new chapter of our lives.
