Property description
Steppingley is a spacious and well presented 5 bedroom family home located within the private Duporth Estate enjoying the most delightful sea
and coastal outlook across the English Channel.
Our clients built the property in 1971 and have enjoyed living in it ever since. The spacious nature of the property coupled with large windows floods the reception room with plenty of natural light. The south facing nature of the property means all of the rooms enjoy plenty of sun light throughout the day.
The sitting room is of particular note as it is made up of 3 open plan areas, the main reception room with wood burning stove, separate dining room and the family room. This huge space has large windows both north and
south facing as well as sliding patio doors opening to the patio and spacious garden.
The kitchen and utility area could do with minor modernisation and updating however is perfectly useable and would not prevent any
potential purchaser moving into the property. Beyond the kitchen and utility areas are two storerooms and an integral garage. Again, from these areas doors provide access to the gardens and grounds.
At first floor level there are 5 bedrooms with bedroom 5 currently being used as a study as this is the smallest of the 5. From this bedroom an external door provides access to a spacious balcony where the most outstanding far reaching sea and coastal views can be enjoyed. This bedroom could easily be converted into a dressing area or en suite to the master bedroom, which is located directly next door.
Completing the accommodation on this floor is a spacious family bathroom. Again, this area will need some improvement by any potential
purchaser.
The property is approached through a generous driveway allowing parking for a good number of vehicles. There is a front garden laid to lawn
housing a range of mature plants and shrubs. Access to the rear garden can be gained at either side of the property via tarmacked pathways. The rear garden is of a wonderful size, again stocked with a range of mature
specimen plants and shrubs. The garden is of a wonderful size and is mainly lawned with a patio area close to the house itself. At the rear of the
garden there is a gate which provides access to the coastal path which leads to the privately owned beach, shared between the properties on the Duporth Estate.
