Property description
**OFFERED FOR SALE WITH NO ONWARD CHAIN** A fine conversion of a former parish church Grade II Listed known as St James now forming a spacious character 5 bedroom three storey family home set in large mature grounds of approx 0.75 acre amidst wonderful rolling Herefordshire countryside with stunning far reaching views in all directions. ** VIEWING HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**
St James was built as a parish church in 1873 by Edward Haycock junior replacing an older church and was converted into a family dwelling in the 1990s. The church is built in a picturesque decorated style with a steep roof to which skylight windows have been added. St James has been designated as being listed Grade II as it is a characterful example of a small circa 19th century Gothic revival village church retaining still many distinctive and beautiful features to include cut stone gothic windows, original doors and stone arches.
The location of St James is truly spectacular as it is set within some of Herefordshire's most wonderful countryside and is well placed for commuting to Bromyard (approx. 4 miles distant), Malvern (approx. 13 miles distant), Leominster (approx. 14 miles distant) and the cathedral city of Worcester (approx. 14 miles distant) and all these centres offer excellent educational, leisure and shopping facilities. The M5 (Jct 6 or 7) at Worcester and the M50 (Jct 2) at Ledbury provide swift commuting to Birmingham and The West Midlands, Bristol and The South West and London and The South East (via M42/M40).
